collection development
This blog aims at bringing together people and ideas concerning collection development in public libraries. Recently collection development and collection management have shifted from institutional oriented collection development to use and users oriented collection management. Collections in public libraries should be based on needs and demands by library patrons. Anyone having ideas on or experiences with user oriented collection management is kindly asked to refer to this blog.
